(this review turned out so bland tbh doesn't do the justice to the story at all imo just go blind and watch it)

Plot

we see the story of a poet "vijay" who is the pyaasa of our story.

Basically the story shows capitalism issues and how just mad it makes people.

The old film issues

Ok because its a film from the 50s it does feel a bit aged at times apart from the obvious things like low quality the acting of side actors feels a bit meh sometimes imo (like exageratedly comidic?).

Despite all that guru dutt's fantastic performance makes it totally worth watching imo.

Characters

a bunch of characters in this story but tbh i only cared abt the main two.

• Vijay: The main charactor of the story played by guru dutt. A homeless poet.
• Gulabo: vijay's lover and a prostitute (somehow the sanest person in the story is a prostitute, the work considered most derogatory)

idrk what else to say about this don't wanna spoil it and there isn't much to write about this one ig :/ but I did and do love it alot..
